Niles started his photo career in 2003 as a printer and retoucher for one of San Francisco’s premiere photo lab’s, Light Waves. He specializes in developing close working relationships with fine art and commercial photographers and fulfills many diverse needs, from assisting and digital tech work, all the way to the lab or press. For over six years Niles has worked with David Duncan Livingston as his first assistant, as well as handling all of his commercial post production, retouching, and fine art print finishing.

All of the projects presented here have been retouched to be printed at least 11×14 or larger, as well as being destined for publication regionally and nationally. I currently specialize in photo realistic retouching and digital tech work, but that’s a bit misleading since a very large part of my experience was gained through working with film and chemicals in professional labs and helping transition photographers to a digital workflow.
